She was earlier a staff video journalist and producer at The New York Times, and her work has also appeared in National Geographic, PBS Frontline, PBS NewsHour and Newsweek. She won an Online Journalism Award in 2019, and an Edward R. Murrow Award in 2017, for her work at The New York Times.
