Some in the reliably Democratic bloc are disillusioned with the party. But they’re not excited about Trump either.

Most days, Nitin Gupta, a customer interactions manager in San Jose, California, wakes up, makes his egg sandwich, and turns on the news. Some days it’s CNN, some days it’s Fox, and some days it’s Newsmax or MSNBC. “I like to watch all sides,” he told The Juggernaut

The 64-year-old is “against free handouts.” But he’s turned off by the Republican Party’s love of guns and hatred toward immigrants. “They can’t differentiate between the legal and the illegal ones,” he explained. Yet, the Democrats continue to increase his taxes and electricity bills. He doesn’t pay attention to the culture wars, the debate over pronouns, book bans, and DEI initiatives. So, who is he voting for this November? “I might vote for Trump,” he said, without conviction. Then he toyed with another possibility: “I think I’ll escape this time on voting.”

Though Gupta may appear confused, his indecision makes him the most prized voter in this election.
