NYC Mosques No Longer Need a Permit to Broadcast the Call to Prayer
Masjids can broadcast azan on Friday afternoons and throughout the month of Ramadan.

Mayor Eric Adams announced on Tuesday that masjids in the city can broadcast the azan (also called the adhan) every Friday afternoon, from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m., when Muslims pray Jummah, and every evening during Ramadan.
